SPECIALITIES
Ratio Skysurfer: 3D for the 3 hands
Each of the hour and minute hands of the Ratio Skysurfer watches comprises two parts. These are the base part and the top part placed one atop the other. The 3D visual effect comes from this design maneuver; its prominence is further enhanced by the application of the high-quality luminous paint from Japan! The thin, cylindrical seconds-hand has the Ratio logo attached to its end. This logo, apart from counter-balancing the seconds-hand, enhances the overall visual appeal of the watch face.

Speciality
Bright even in twilight: Lume Quality in Ratio Skysurfer watches
We have chosen a non-radioactive, nontoxic photo-luminescent paint from Japan for Ratio Skysurfer watches. When charged under bright sunlight continuously for 8 hours, it will give you an afterglow that will last through the night without the glow fading too much.
Both the Type A and Type B Ratio Skysurfer watches have the lume material applied in two formats upon the same brass base, which is the dial. Either the lume is applied to their indices and markers and the hour and minute hands or it's just the reverse - lume on the entire dial except on the hands, the indices and the markers i.e. where it previously had been.
Regardless of the layout, both offer excellent visual clarity in dark and dusk. Your choice will depend upon how much you want to stay visible at those times.

Ratio Skysurfer: Merging Strengths
Italians are excellent designers capable of creating very intricate designs within small spaces. They are arguably the best in this aspect all over the world. That's why Ratio opted for designers from the land of Da Vinci and Michelangelo. Italians are excellent designers capable of creating very intricate designs within small spaces. They are arguably the best in this aspect all over the world. That's why Ratio opted for designers from the land of Da Vinci and Michelangelo. The designs for both Type A and Type B Skysurfer watches are, therefore, specifically thought out without deviating from the classic Flieger style. The end result is a watch that you can wear not just for sporting events and activities but also for your workplace and fun evenings.Skysurfer watches - irrespective of Type A or Type B, get the 24-Jewels Seiko NH38A movement.

Just when you think it is dark, it smiles brightly at you!
The Skysurfer dials use three different lume layouts including a fully lumed dial in both Type A and Type B designs, the terms loosely translating to a simple, traditional clock layout and a more technical layout respectively. The dial designs are clever twists upon the Beobachtungsuhren (navigators’ watch) issued to the Luftwaffe during WWII, the entire colouring, luming and indexing done through silk-screen printing technique upon a brass base.
Brass takes colours better than any other metal and therefore, is least likely to fade over time and the silkscreen method helps us to keep the costs down without compromising on precision finishing. It also helps to us to keep up with the demands, for it is also the fastest way to apply the fine Japan lume in the most perfect way, resulting in smooth, even applications of the paint/coating materials. The slight double-domed sapphire crystal makes the dials appear bigger and the lume brighter, facilitating higher visibility whether its light, dark or twilight.
Skysurfer watches are powered by the 24-Jewels Seiko NH38A movement. The beat rate for this mechanical, automatic movement is 21,600bph (3Hz). It can run for 40+ hours on a fully wound mainspring. The seconds-hacking feature allows for accurate time-setting. Factory regulation sets it at +20 seconds but it can be further regulated to stay within +10 seconds or less. But this will break the factory seal.

Damn this is a fine watch. The craftmanship is superb. The quality is top notch, the back plate is in such detail that you can feel it. The movement is seriously smooth. The watch is meant for a sport that I don’t participate in, but from what that instruction pamphlet says this is the watch you want. 200m water resistant. Screw down engraved crown for added protection against sweat, water, dust and all that crap. I couldn’t be happier to have it. I think you will be too. Enjoy
I gave up on smartwatches some time ago. While they had their conveniences, I never truly liked them and found myself bothered by constant notifications. So, I returned to my preference for simple, sturdy, and easy-to-read timepieces. I enjoy my G-Shock and Citizen Diving watch, but I’ve come across cheap watches that are simply not worth the money. Despite their expensive appearance, they quickly disappoint. In my experience, with a bit of smart shopping, one can find a watch that will last for years around the $200 price range, with no limit beyond that.
This particular watch falls below that price level but above the realm of cheap ‘luxury’ watches that saturate the market. It neither looks cheap nor excessively expensive. The stainless steel construction lends it a solid and elegant appearance without being flashy. However, the face of the watch is the one aspect that falls short in terms of aesthetics. Its grain resembles that of a plastic binder, giving it a somewhat inferior look. I opted to replace the black wristband with a brown one I had lying around, as grain leather never truly looks good.
