A Companion For Every Quest You Embark

In May of 1804, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark set out on an epic adventure, leading the Corps of Discovery from St. Louis, Missouri, into the wild unknown. With determination in their hearts, they journeyed through the vast, untamed lands of Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. By November, they arrived at Knife River Village in North Dakota, where they met Sacagawea, a young Shoshone woman with a fierce spirit and a newborn son. Sacagawea, alongside her husband, Toussaint Charbonneau, became an invaluable guide and interpreter, bridging cultures, securing food, and helping the team navigate the wilderness, all while caring for her baby. Despite relentless challenges—treacherous rivers, towering mountains, and harsh winters—the explorers pressed on. In November 1805, they triumphantly reached the Pacific Ocean, their journey complete. After a winter on the coast, they began the long journey back in March 1806, their return marking the end of a journey that forever changed the map of America. Along the way, they had not only discovered new lands but forged friendships with Native tribes, cataloged new species, and blazed a trail for future pioneers.
