Ratio FreeDiver Sapphire Stainless Steel Ice Blue Dial Automatic RTFL837 200M Women's Watch

I ordered and paid for my new Ratio FreeDiver Sapphire Stainless Steel Ice Blue Dial Automatic RTFL837 200M Women's Watch on the 10th of April 2025. I hadn't heard anything from the company at all for 3 full weeks, which was a little worrying, and it wouldn't track for some reason either, so on the 1st of May I emailed Ratio. They emailed me back twice that day, which was a really good sign, because I was getting a little worried. I was again worried when a notification, from Australia Post, came on that same day to say a "failed delivery attempt" had been made. I went to my PO and there it was. It all worked out and Ratio followed up a few times by email to check that everything had worked out. My local PO didn't have an answer either. We have no explanation for that notification at all.
I read reviews before deciding on a watch. A few of them were complaining about the hidden tax when buying from Ratio. I wasn't sure how that was going to turn out for me but I ordered anyway. My $158 Divers watch coming all the way from Singapore, with no delivery fee that I can see, had a small tax of $15.80 on it. I was expecting something because of the negative reviews about the tax, but that was nothing! My watch is well worth the $178.80 AU I paid!
I surf, swim, bike ride and am quite active. I need a reliable watch for all occasions. Oh, and it's my going out watch too. I don't collect watches. I like to pay for something that looks good, works well, is very functional and doesn't cost me a lot of money, but I'm willing to pay what I need to. When researching dive watches, I chose this watch because of it's price, look, has a date and because it is automatic. My first watch when I was 16, a Seiko, was automatic, and I loved it! I'm 62yrs old and live in QLD. I've had my Ratio watch for nearly 2 months now and it's been great. It sits a little higher on my wrist than my previous battery watches but not so much that it bothers me at all. I won't have to take my watch to our jeweller to have a new battery put in, be pressure tested and be without it for a couple of weeks any more. Yay! On a little bit of a down side, I find the date is way too small to see at all. It's tiny! That's probably because it's an automatic watch and there's not enough room in there for a bigger date. I hope Ratio can work on that. With my eye sight now, I can only just make out the date with reading glasses on. A date on my watch is important to me. I love the band too! Normally I would change my metal bands to a neoprene band. Because of their heaviness, they would rub the skin on my wrist. This band hasn't done that. Lastly, I love the colour. It's a female thing I know!! I couldn't decide between the Ice Blue and the Green. My husband chose Ice Blue, but when it arrived, it looks green to us. I sent a pic of it to Ratio and asked if it was the Ice Blue as ordered and they assured me it was. When I compare the watch on my wrist to the pic I sent them, the pic does look blue but my actual watch looks green. I don't mind as it looks good anyway.

I'm enjoying my new watch. It took a while to get used to a chunkier case - I guess it's due to it being automatic. I love how brightly the hands glow at night so I can tell the time in the night. And it's handy the bezel can rotate - useful for timing things. It's great!
