Each of the hour and minute hands of the Ratio Skysurfer watches comprises two parts. These are the base part and the top part placed one atop the other. The 3D visual effect comes from this design maneuver; its prominence is further enhanced by the application of the high-quality luminous paint from Japan! The thin, cylindrical seconds-hand has the Ratio logo attached to its end. This logo, apart from counter-balancing the seconds-hand, enhances the overall visual appeal of the watch face.

The Skysurfer dials use three different lume layouts including a fully lumed dial in both Type A and Type B designs, the terms loosely translating to a simple, traditional clock layout and a more technical layout respectively. The dial designs are clever twists upon the Beobachtungsuhren (navigators’ watch) issued to the Luftwaffe during WWII, the entire colouring, luming and indexing done through silk-screen printing technique upon a brass base.
Brass takes colours better than any other metal and therefore, is least likely to fade over time and the silkscreen method helps us to keep the costs down without compromising on precision finishing. It also helps to us to keep up with the demands, for it is also the fastest way to apply the fine Japan lume in the most perfect way, resulting in smooth, even applications of the paint/coating materials. The slight double-domed sapphire crystal makes the dials appear bigger and the lume brighter, facilitating higher visibility whether its light, dark or twilight.
Skysurfer watches are powered by the 24-Jewels Seiko NH38A movement. The beat rate for this mechanical, automatic movement is 21,600bph (3Hz). It can run for 40+ hours on a fully wound mainspring. The seconds-hacking feature allows for accurate time-setting. Factory regulation sets it at +20 seconds but it can be further regulated to stay within +10 seconds or less. But this will break the factory seal.

I selected this watch without having heard of the brand before now. It looked like a nice one and I thought it would be a good one for daily wear. It's a very nice watch, though it is too small for me.
I will start by stating my main issue with this watch. It's a small watch, with a case size of 38mm. I did not find this in the product listing until after I selected it. I prefer a much larger watch, so this one does not suit me. That's my fault, as the information was there before I selected it and I simply missed it. That's not a problem with the watch or the manufacturer, it was an oversight on my part; that said, making the case size easier to find in the description would have been helpful to me.
Other than the size, this is a really nice watch. It looks great - uncluttered face that is easy to read, and a nice band that matches the watch itself. It doesn't draw attention to itself, but it has a classy look that suggests it's a quality time piece.
So far it has been very accurate. I have had it about two weeks, and so far it has not lost time. There's not much I can say beyond that.
This is a very nice watch, for people who prefer smaller watches. It's a little too small for me, but for someone who likes a smaller, classy looking watch it's a good choice.
Keeps good time - I had never heard of the brand before but the watch looked nice, so I ordered it. It arrived fairly quick and in a nice box, if gifting, and it is a nice looking watch…on the smaller side for a man so I would say that a woman could easily wear it, though it is on the larger size for a woman, it would look nice on either sex. It is simple but also classy looking, not flashy by any means but I would consider it dressy. I am not sure the price is on point, seems a little high, but I could be wrong, I did not compare…and it is nice, keeps good time, has nice features…I would not, not recommend it, I would maybe suggest catching a deal on it, watching it for a price drop maybe. But if you are looking for a classy looking but simple watch that keep the time well, this is a good fit for you.
I am more than happy with my purchase! The watch is perfect, I wouldn’t change anything. The case feels well made and is heavy enough but not uncomfortable. The leather strap was a happy surprise that its also really good, when most other watches I’ve bought usually came with bad straps. The textured dial is the icing on the cake for me because it looks amazing under light. The only ‘’problem’’ for me was that shipping to my country Greece because it had some extra cost of 90eur. But it was definitely worth and I’m glad I found the watch its my daily wearer.
This is my second Ratio watch. The spec on the watches are impressive for a value watch. The room quality is incredible. Having a sapphire crystal at this price point is beyond great value.
