It’s the 31st time that π-day will be celebrated worldwide on the 14th of March i.e. tomorrow. Let’s also celebrate our own little    π-day within ourselves.  For as you know, it’s time to own something different from the staple big brands; some niche stuff that don’t hang around with everybody. Besides, Ratio Freediver watches are also enough inexpensive to actually wear them for jobs they are made. A slight deflection from the staple ‘dive watch’ style since 1950s, the Freediver is smooth, chunky and bold in its aesthetics and capable withstanding extreme pressures associated with underwater activities.

Plus points of the π

  • Rotating, external bezels with 60 minutes marked in a ring; used for timing/detecting the duration of any event; especially those under water.
  • BIG markers and hands are easy to read.
  • Got a bright and long-lasting lume that doesn’t take an eternity to charge fully. Works very well underwater, where things get dark in a hurry.
  • Quality Swiss and Japanese workhorse movements.
  • Resembles closely the CITIZEN BLUE PROMASTER DIVER WATCH.

Real-life usage

Going 100 meters below the sea level is pretty awesome for recreational divers; anything more gets you into amateur diving. In that case, the FreeDiver is a wise buy. However; logically speaking, only a particular category of marine professionals might get that 1000m depth rating to work. Seldom, that too; for the deepest any pro-grade scuba diver goes is a little over 300 meters on a yearly average. Rest of the times, you can wear it with your business casuals, blazers and jackets; even with heavy, cargo shirts.

Post Script

Among its other uses, you can strap it to a submarine. The Freediver 1000m is made to handle all your pro-level swimming, diving and snorkeling needs and is 200% safe bet for anyone into water sports as a pastime or hobby.

PPS

The Ratio Freedivers also come in 200m versions. Them who do not have the slightest intentions for pushing limits might find these to be more suitable choices. They also cost lesser, so that’s another point to be considered.
